Visited my old stomping grounds today. At North Central Park had a few
Audubon's Yellow-rumped Warblers and a Black-throated Gray. Next went to Las
Palmas Trail/Zacate Creek where several White-collared Seedeaters were heard
but not seen. Also had a Ringed Kingfisher and about 100 Cliff Swallows under
Bridge 2. Went to the Landfill (Mount Laredo) and had about 1,000 Chihuahuan
Ravens. The wind made seeing the white neck patch easy. Next up was Lake Casa
Blanca. The Western Grebes were no where to be seen. At Ranchito Road had a
gorgeous singing male White-collared Seedeater, seven male Cinnamon Teal, and a
Say's Phoebe. Wonderful birding day. Can't wait for tomorrow.
