Hi Texbirders, LaFitte's Cove was slow until about 4:30 when birds started dropping in. 11 warbler species were seen - Nashville, Blue-winged, Tennessee, Myrtle, Audubon's, Wilson's, Orange-crowned, both waterthrushes, Northern Parula, Black-and-white. He is rapidly molting into adult plumage as his throat has almost completely filled out since last week. He only had red feathers on the right side of his neck. Also 3 Bronzed Cowbirds were found. To complete the afternoon, an Osprey was sitting on a branch by the water. First time seen perched Osprey at LaFitte's An altogether good afternoon at LaFitte's Cove.
