Things were pretty quiet [34 species] at the Denton Co. Lewisville Lake
Environmental Learning Area [LLELA] on Saturday. We had 28 participates, with
half of those brand new to birding and LLELA!! Birds of the day were lots
Eastern Kingbirds and Chimney Swifts, both scooping up those bugs before they
head south. The Osprey and Belted Kingfisher showed up as did a few Orioles.
A good teaching comparison of the adult Little Blue and the white immature
Little Blue. There will be more comings and going by the next walk on October
14. Come and see what LLELA is al about!
