22 birders came out for a great day of birding @ LLELA at the Lewisville Dam
on Saturday, Dec. 8th.
Some of the highlights were:
Common Loon [flyover]
Red-Shouldered Hawk
Northern Harrier
Kestrel
Greater Yellowlegs
Belted Kingfisher
Hooded Merganser
Bufflehead
Widgeon
Lesser Scaup
Ring-necked Duck
Winter Wren
Harris Sparrow
Song Sparrow
Field Sparrow
White-throated Sparrow
Brown Thrasher
Spotted Towhee
Eastern Towhee
Then on the drive back to Highland Village I saw a small flock of American
White Pelicans flying south.
