Despite the winds getting stronger and stronger out @ the Lewisville dam our birding groups saw quite a list of birds. We saw: American Widgeon Blue-winged Teal Gadwall Coots Mallard Pied-billed Grebe Greater Yellowlegs Fly-by Wilsons' Snipe Belted Kingfisher Great Blue Heron Franklin & Ring-bill Gulls Fly-by Cormorant Both Vultures Red Tail Northern Harrier Sharp-shinned Hawk Kestrel Crow {heard} Flicker Red-bellied WP {heard} Yellow-bellied Sapsucker Meadowlark Spotted Towhee Hermit Thrush Eastern Bluebird Robin Mockingbird Cardinal Blue Jay {heard} Tufted Titmouse C. Chickadee Carolina Wren {heard} Brown Creeper Both Kinglets Red-Breasted Nuthatch Yellow-rump Warbler Song Sparrow Savannah Sparrow White-throated Sparrow Junco That's 42 species on a warm & windy day, if anyone is counting!! The Barred Owl from earlier in the week was not re-found.
