Charles, Nameless is close to us as the nighthawk flies. Diane and I just
tried to relocate the nighthawks but nada..... Too late in the
morning....I remember all those guys...That was the birding elite of Travis
Co. then.

On the 12th Marj Swies wrote to me saying she had a LENI at the HEB on
the corner of Bell and Whitestone (183/1431) in Cedar Park. I have looked
for it a few times since but only had Commons which I have had there for a
while. This morning I found what I am sure is a Lesser over the parking
lot/store at the nearby Big Lots shopping center. While I did not see the
placement of the white bar in the wing well against a very dark/cloudy sky,
the very different flight style and the more rounded wing tips convinced
me. Also near the HEB I could compare those aspects directly to a Common
Nighthawk which was vocal vs. silent. There are only a few records for
Williamson Co. per Tim Fennell of Lesser Nighthawk. I did not get any
photos..

Another place where I have seen nighthawks in CP, but only Commons, is
over the huge Cedar Park/HEB Center up on 183A..I have only checked there
once though. Yet another location is the nearby Walmart complex. These
places are in the very guts of Cedar Park and the 183/1431 intersection is
one of the busiest, if not the busiest in town.
