In the past I already presented photos of what appears to be Boat-tailed Grackles with light iris color. It was already suggested that Great-tailed and Boat-tailed can interbreed. Here is an interesting group of three grackle males which I observed traveling and foraging together along the beach at Quintana this weekend. Beach was deserted and almost birdless so I could spend time with grackles, something I often wish I have more time for. We do have about twenty different concepts to choose from but we do not have one definition accepted be everyone.
