Hi all, The girlfriend and I stopped by Sikes Lake in Wichita Falls yesterday. Had a lone Snow Goose consorting with one of several flocks of Canada and Cackling Geese. Snow Goose, of course not being rare to the area wasn't particularly surprising, seems a hair early. The real excitement came when we found a Canada X Greater White-fronted hybrid. The bird was hanging around with yet another mixed flock of Canada and Cackling Geese just on the north east side of the museum( that would be north west side of the lake). Tiffany got some smart phone pics of the bird which I will post when she gets them to me. Good birdin', Brady Surber Vernon, TX
