[texbirds] ID help

So early last year, January 13th to be exact, I spent a lot of time birding
the bay behind Moody Gardens. Since I work there, I would spend my lunches
checking the marshes and the bay. I was even lucky enough to find a Lifer
Le contes sparrow.
While cleaning out my phone and going through old photo's I found this
group of pictures of a set of mergansers feeding. I have never seen this
set of photos on the computer, and now they look very odd. Like not a group
of red-breasted mergs odd. I have seen a lot of red-breasted's at distance
this winter, and these seem different to me.
Any help is appreciated!
