            Rockport-Fulton will be hosting the 24th annual HummerBird
Celebration this weekend September 13-16, 2012.

            Thursday Keynote will be "Jewels of the Mountains and Desert -
West Texas Hummingbirds" by Master Hummer Bander Kelly Bryan from Fort
Davis.

            Friday Keynote will be presented by Kevin Gaines & his birds,
Sky Kings Falconry.  Additionally he will present a different talk with
other birds Sunday morning as well as be about the grounds during the day on
Saturday.

            Saturday Keynote "Birds on the Wind:  Miracle of Migration" will
be presented by Kevin Karlson, well known New Jersey photographer and
birding author.

            See hummingbird banding demonstration by Master Hummer Bander
Bob Sargent while taking in the self-directed Hummer Home route.  Or hop on
the guided Hummer Bus tour bus and watch Kelly Bryan band exclusively for
you & your bus.

            Each morning birding buses will take you to Fennessey Ranch,
shorebird watching sites or Hazel Bazemore Park (site of the hawk watch
which is currently underway).  Kevin Karlson of Cape May, NJ and David
Sarkozi will accompany you on the bus birding trips & they will be assisted
by other well-known Texas birders.

            Numerous talks will be presented Thursday afternoon thru Sunday
afternoon by many well-known birding authorities, including Jessie Barry and
Chris Wood from Cornell University Bird Lab.

            Two-hour birding identification workshops will be presented by
Kevin Karlson (shorebirds) & Byron Stone (sparrows).

            Boat trips will be offered on the warm waters of Aransas Bay.
Enjoy a boat ride to check on who is hanging out on the bird islands along
the route.

            Two Hummer Malls will be filled by over 80 vendors with items
related to the hummer & bird theme of HummerBird Celebration, including
optics & live plants for sale by Texas Master Naturalists.

            Three different photographers will offer 5 nature-oriented photo
classes.

            Enter a butterfly tent and walk among live butterflies.  Or
kayak with accompanying bird and kayak experts.
