[texbirds] Highlights from the Canyon Lakes of Lubbock - Sunday

Greetings All:
On Sunday, Ellen Hildebrandt and I went for a ramble along the lower Canyon
Lakes. Fifty-nine species of birds were tallied with the following as
highlights: 1 Ross's Goose at Mae Simmons Park, 1 Wood Duck below Lake Six,
2 Canvasbacks at Lake Six, 1 Eared Grebe at Lake Six, 1 Osprey at Lake Six
(AH & EH), 1 Red-shouldered Hawk at Lake Six (AH & EH), 1 second cycle
(winter) Herring Gull at Mae Simmons Park and Lake Six, 4 Golden-crowned
Kinglets at the Lubbock Cemetery, 1 Hermit Thrush at the Lubbock Cemetery,
1 Orange-crowned Warbler at the Lubbock Cemetery, 1 Common Yellowthroat at
Mae Simmons Park, and 1 White-throated Sparrow at Mae Simmons Park.
