did fairly well (though warblers continue to be AWOL). Highlights included
6 Cackling Geese at Brashears Park, 2 Canada Geese at Brashears Park, 2
Canada Geese at the Smyer Playa, 1 Gadwall at Brashears Park, 2 American
Wigeons at the Smyer Playa, 6 Blue-winged Teals at the Smyer Playa, 1 male
Cinnamon Teal at the Smyer Playa, 3 Northern Shovelers at the Smyer Playa,
1 male Green-winged Teal at the Smyer Playa, 2 Scaled Quails near the
woodlot west of 597 x 1490, 1 Ring-necked Pheasant southwest of Pep, 13
Black-necked Stilts at the Smyer Playa, 12 American Avocets at the Smyer
Playa, 2 Semipalmated Plovers at the Smyer Playa, 1 Spotted Sandpiper at
the Smyer Playa, 1 Olive-sided Flycatcher southwest of Pep, 1 Western Wood
Pewee at Levelland City Park, 3 Western Wood Pewees southwest of Pep, 2
Western Wood Pewees at the woodlot just west of 597 x 1490, 2 Willow
Flycatchers southwest of Pep, 2 adult/4 fledgling Say's Phoebes in Pep, 2
adult/3 fledgling Say's Phoebes near Pep, 2 adult/3 fledgling Say's Phoebes
near Petit, 1 Hermit Thrush southwest of Pep, 1 male Bronzed Cowbird in
Levelland, 2 male Bronzed Cowbirds, near Petit, 2 male Bronzed Cowbirds
just north of Levelland, 2 male Bronzed Cowbirds in the woodlot just west
of 597 x 1490, 1 female and 1 male Orchard Oriole southwest of Pep, and 1
Lesser Goldfinch southwest of Pep.
