The two Harris's Hawks were still at the San Jacinto SP between 1:30 and 2:00 this afternoon. Sitting in the same tree they were in. As you start across the causeway look across the lagoon at an angle to the right and they are sitting in a dead tree there. We also walked the trail that extends from the boardwalk that is directly behind the Monument. We found a mixed flock of Ruby-crowned and Golden-crowned Kinglets, at least one Blue-gray Gnatcatcher and several Yellow-rumped Warblers. They were joined briefly by a Yellow-bellied Sapsucker as well. There were a couple of Eastern Phoebes, Red-tailed Hawks and one Red-shouldered Hawk also. Around in the lagoon there were Am White Pelicans, Am Avocets, Dowichers, Ruddy Ducks and N Shovelers ands a few Neotropic and Double-crested Cormorants. Unfortunately it was raining and the light was terrible so no decent pictures today. On the other hand fortunately it was raining!
