[texbirds] Harris County Ladder-backed Woodpecker, Sunday Photo

Saw the Ladder-backed Woodpecker (found by Drew Dickert and Jim Hinson on
Saturday morning) on Longenbaugh (UTC098). It was in the trees on the south
side of the road just west of the radio tower on Sunday at noon and again at
1:30. It's appearances were brief. Here is a cropped and edited (brightened,
sharpened etc) photo that shows the male's red crown, spotting on sides and
flanks, barring on back etc:

A nice bird for Harris County these days to get when looking for the
Ferruginous Hawk hanging around out north of the tower.
