Howdy!
Hutton's Vireo just seen in my back yard at Fort Clark Springs, Kinney
County. First I've personally seen off the plateau. This is a follow-up to
the one that was reported earlier in the fall at another location on Fort
Clark by Sheridan Coffey and Martin Reid.

Red-breasted Nuthatch and Winter Wren continue as well, and all three birds
are officially documented for the Fort Clark Springs CBC count week (count
is on the 29th, meet at Burger and Shake in Brackettville at 7:30)

Also of note in the area, Kathy Bader has reported the return of a Sage
Thrasher to it's favorite spot on her property just a few miles west of
town, and I had a Barn Owl screeching there two nights ago.

Happy holidays and CBC season!
