[texbirds] Green Jays in central Austin?

The morning I was taking an exercise walk through the neighborhood (atop
the bluff over Shoak Creek near Windsor Rd.) when I heard two perfect Green
Jay calls, a yard bird for me for much of my life. I stopped, looked around
and waited a few minutes and the calls were not repeated. There are plenty
of mockingbirds around but I couldn't hear one singing Green Jay notes or
anything else. I finally decided to walk on and come back better prepared.

Otherwise in the neighborhood I haven't seen an American Robin in about a
week now and I haven't heard one singing for a few days longer than thet.
There were a minimum of 3 pairs along my 45 minute route. When I lived in
Hyde Park I noticed a similar total disappearance after nesting. Where do
they go?
