Texbirds,
Just a quick note that I had one first cycle Glaucous Gull with at least 2
Nelson's Gulls (Glaucous x Herring), 5+ Lesser Black-backed Gulls and a
possible California Gull amid the throngs of Laughing and Herring Gulls at
the Brownsville Landfill this afternoon, 13 February. I do not believe I
saw the Vega Gull that was last reported exactly a month ago but I have yet
to go through my photos. There were also close to 200 Crested Caracaras and
at least a couple dozen White-tailed Hawks in a multitude of plumages. What
an incredible place. Please sign in at the weigh station prior to heading
up the hill.
