The good bird of the day was a marbled godwit out on bolivar flats with a
band. Good old 02. It was banded on the flats on 11/14/2014 along with
another bird. Note that there is a radio antenna stuck in the USFG band
which was apparently preened from the radio which is missing. A couple of
banded Wilson's plover from 2014 were out there too and banded as chicks in

The godwit arrived from the breeding grounds within a few days as the bill
is still changing from orange to pink which we see during most of their
stay here.

A pair of Caspian terns was on east beach without a chick. Only had one
chick so far this year
