Since the start of 2016 there has been an almost dramatic increase in
visitation at Government Canyon State Natural Area
http://tpwd.texas.gov/state-parks/government-canyon . The 240 parking slots
sometimes get filled two and three times during the course of any given
weekend day. When the parking slots are filled, entry to the site ceases
until there is room for a person to park. If you are planning on attending
an event, please try to arrive half an hour in advance. As you approach the
entrance on Galm Rd, take care when exiting the traffic circle into GCSNA.
