We started out at 58 degrees with a light mist but still managed to tally
67 species. Our visitors today included a first time valley birder so
everything was extra special to him.
Birds were very vocal despite the intermittent drizzle and we wracked up
several White-eyed Vireo and Orange-crowned Warbler. Yellow-rumps were
feasting on myriads of tiny gnats.
Swallows were too high for an accurate ID other than Purple Martin.
Tours only continue through the end of March and beginning to fill up so
call for reservations. 956-748-3607 X111.
Tours Thursday - Monday 8:30 - 12, Friday at 1 PM alternating between Bahia
Grande and Laguna Atascosa.
