Hi Texbirders,
Today's wind definitely affected our ability to see birds and many of the
ones we did see were uncharacteristically low to the ground. An
Ash-throated Flycatcher on the Pintail Lakes service road was a walk
highlight. Good looks at Verdin helped end the walk on a high note ... and
it was a life bird for at least one of our group. An Indigo Snake and an
active Mexican Honey Wasp nest were special treats too.
Guided bird walks leave from the Visitor Center at 8:30 am every day. Come
join the fun!
