Another very windy day kept the bird numbers down...feeders were busy with CLAY-COLORED THRUSH, ALTAMIRA ORIOLE, GREEN JAY, PLAIN CHACHALACA, KISKADEE. Willow Lakes along the Chachalaca Trail hosted several species of ducks and shorebirds. At Pintail Lakes, the Groove-billed Anis were a no-show, most likely due to the wind. But, NORTHERN BOBWHITE, WHITE-TAILED KITE and other hawk species were seen. Major & Mary will be leading the 8:30AM Birdwalks, Sunday through Tuesday, so come out for a walk in the refuge.
