With the reports of juicy warblers being seen yesterday I thought it would be a good time to check out Frontera Audubon Thicket in Weslaco. It turned out that migrants were rather thin but it was still an interesting morning. I arrived at 7:40 AM and counted the White-winged Doves flying over while I put on my sunscreen. My final tally was 3100 which agrees with my feeling that this has been a good season for White-wings. Inside the thicket were a calling Gray Hawk, Northern-beardless Tyrannulet, Green Kingfisher and a surprise three Wood Storks.
