211 species were seen on the 59th Freeport CBC yesterday. Best bird of the
count were two Brown-crested Flycatchers, only the second time this species
has been seen on this count. Other birds of note were Least Flycatcher, a
pair of Great Kiskadees, a pair of Franklin's Gulls from two different areas
of the count circle, a Great Black-backed Gull at the jetties, Pyrrhuloxia,
Groove-billed Ani, Great Crested Flycatcher, an adult female Magnolia
Warbler, Prairie Warbler, Yellow-breasted Chat, Painted Bunting, Pine
Siskin, and two Thayer's Gulls in different plumages.
