TexBirders,

I spent several hours today (Thursday February 14th) at Sabal Palms
Sanctuary in Brownsville. The female Crimson-collared Grosbeak made
brief appearances about every 45 minutes, suddenly appearing at the
back of the feeding area and stealthily working her way to the back
edge of the water feature. I got a few photos, along with some other
birds and butterflies, which can be seen at:

On Wednesday I went to South Padre Island to look for the Flammulated
Owl. It was well hidden in its "usual" spot. A murky photo can also
be seen at the above URL.

Enjoy!
