Good afternoon, birders,
Today was a wonderful time of birding here at Santa Ana. A
White-tailed Kite "Kited" over us for some great long looks over Pintail Lakes
and Soras serenaded us as we walked between the Lakes. White and White-faced
Ibis were close and soared beautifully.
At Willow Lakes, a Merlin came close, and an Osprey fished overhead,
with great looks at waterfowl. Several small flocks of passerines became
visible as we hiked the thorn scrub - a good all-around walk with wonderful
participants.
