One nice, shiny, singing male bird observed at fairly close range this a.m. at the state park here in Junction. The bird was on the high elevation part of the Fawn Trail in a oak, sumac, agarita thicket. This bird was 1.5 miles from the parking lot behind the park office as the Fawn Trail is a 3-mile loop and this bird was just about in the middle. They will get a lot closer to the park office as the days pass. Rhandy J. Helton Junction, Tx.
