Dear All: At Lake Whitney on the Bosque County side, (southern side), there is a small flock 12-15 at various times. They must be breeding, ?, as we found imm birds there in late May of 2014. Also I had a call from a lady in Weatherford who described Egyptian Geese on Lake Weatherford. That location, I have not checked out. This is after a decision by Florida to include it on their list. With this development, I think it is time to make a concerted effort to document numbers and distribution in Texas and consider whether or not it should be included on the state list. We must acknowledge that this species exists within our state in fair numbers. Failure to make any effort to catalog this species is a failure to Texas birding. http://blog.aba.org/2014/08/aba-checklist-committee-adds-egyptian-goose-to-aba-checklist.html Cameron Carver Lubbock, TX Sent from my iPhone Edit your Freelists account settings for TEXBIRDS at //www.freelists.org/list/texbirds Reposting of traffic from TEXBIRDS is prohibited without seeking permission from the List Owner --- This email is free from viruses and malware because avast!
