A pleasant morning for today's bird walk at Edith L. Moore Nature
Sanctuary. Several of us were able to enjoy the various migrants passing
through the area. There are still a few more bird walks on Monday's and
Wednesday's coming up this spring so get out and join us. Highlights from
the morning are below.
Wood Duck - 1
Broad-winged Hawk - 2
White-eyed Vireo - 3
Yellow-throated Vireo - 1
Blue-headed Vireo - 3, very vocal today
Blue-winged Warbler - 1
Orange-crowned Warbler - 1, singing, not a bird I get to hear singing too
often in this area
Nashville Warbler - 5
Northern Parula - 5
Pine Warbler - 1
Hooded Warbler - 3
Worm-eating Warbler - 1
Yellow-breasted Chat - 1
Summer Tanager - 1 male
White-throated Sparrow
