This afternoon, at my bird pond I was visited by the strangest bird.
Unfortunately after grabbing my camera and watching and waiting for over 45
minutes it did not return. Here is the description;
Goldfinch size.
Head: completely bright GF yellow.
Nape was yellow then the farther it went down the back it dulled more like a GF
color.
Wings and tail like a Goldfinch
And here’s the kicker….
the beak was a BRIGHT orange, I mean Oystercatcher orange! And not as pointed
as a GF beak.
Any ideas?
I will only be able to watch in the morning for it’s return. Camera ready!
