This morning I wanted to check out the area wet spots in eastern Hidalgo County. Turned out they were all dry except for Delta Lake which was low enough for some exposed shoreline on the northeast shore. Best birds were the continuing Reddish Egret (on the east side of the highway by the dam or spillway or whatever it is), three Black-bellied Plovers and a Black Skimmer. These are all hard to get away from the coast.
