[texbirds] Couch's Kingbird, Jackson County; Short-eared Owl Gonzales County

January 10, Couch's Kingbird at the Navidad/Lavaca Boatramp (west of US59
Causeway) on Lake Texana in Jackson County. I have seen this bird in
Jackson County more than 20 years ago, and it should not be that notable.
However I can find no records of Jackson County sightings in eBird. Bird
responded to dawn song playback with typical Couch's call note. Also 9
Anhinga, more than 200 Double-crested Cormorants, Krider's Hawk, 95
White-faced Ibis, Cave Swallows. There is usually a Bald Eagle at this
location, not seen this morning.
Also a Short-eared Owl on HWY 183 fence post about 10 miles south of
Gonzales.
