In spite of the strong southerly winds I decided to bird the Corpus Christi
area today for any migrants that might still be heading north. I birded
Pollywog Pond, Blucher Park, Rosehill Cemetery, Packery Channel, Mustang
Island, and Port Aransas. I was pretty surprised to tally 13 species of
warblers (not bad for the late date & gusty southerly winds). Rosehill
Cemetery was quite productive and birdy. I had several flocks of warblers
there.

Birds of Note:
Yellow-billed Cuckoo 5
Green Kingfisher 1 (female at Pollywog)
Olive-sided Flycatcher 1 (Packery Channel)
Eastern Wood-Pewee 8
Yellow-bellied Flycatcher 3
Acadian Flycatcher 2
Willow/Alder Flycatcher 7
Least Flycatcher 1
Great-crested Flycatcher 4
Eastern Kingbird 2
White-eyed Vireo 2 (juvenile with adult at Pollywog)
Red-eyed Vireo 1
GRAY-CHEEKED THRUSH 1 (Blucher Park)
Swainson's Thrush 2
Gray Catbird 1
Tennessee Warbler 2 (Rosehill)
Yellow Warbler 3
Chestnut-sided Warbler 11 (5 males, 6 females - all at Rosehill)
Magnolia Warbler 4 (Rosehill)
Black-throated Green Warbler 2 (Rosehill)
Blackburnian Warbler 4 (3 females & 1 MALE - Rosehill)
Black-and-white Warbler 1 (female - Rosehill)
American Redstart 17
Ovenbird 2
Mourning Warbler 1
Common Yellowthroat 2
Wilson's Warbler 1 (Pollywog)
Canada Warbler 1 (female - Rosehill)
SCARLET TANAGER 1 (female - Packery)
