I forgot to include two Mourning Warblers (male & female) that we also saw
yesterday at Blucher Park.

In spite of the last day of May, "migration being over", etc. Derek
Muschalek and I decided to bird the Corpus Christi area today. We birded
Blucher Park, Rosehill Cemetery, Packery Channel, Port Aransas (Wetlands,
Birding Center & base of jetties), Tule Lake and Carbon Plant Road. We were
joined by Mel & Arlie Cooksey at Blucher Park, Rosehill Cemetery & Packery
Channel. It was still worth going out in the field to see what we could
kick up. Derek and I stopped back by Blucher Park in the late afternoon to
look for Ron's Chestnut-sided Warbler, American Redstart & Rose-breasted
Grosbeak. Unfortunately we weren't able to find these gems (except for the
redstart). However, we were rewarded with an extraordinarily late
Black-billed Cuckoo!
