Hi all, First I'd like to thank all that sent letters or notes to Uvalde about Cook's Slough and the disk course project. It appears to be making an impact. I received this today: forwarded message ~~~~~ It was noted in the Uvalde Newspaper today that action would be taken Tuesday night at the regular Uvalde City Council meeting regarding the placement of the Frisbee course at Cooks. Based on the newspaper article and private conversations today I believe the city is in favor of the Frisbee Course but NOT AT COOKS SLOUGH NATURE PARK. While this is good news, I have seen this type of early release to be incorrect when all is said and done. If you or anybody else wants to message the city by email or attend the city council meeting, time is of the essence. Thanks for your input in this matter. ~~~end forwarded message ~~ Comments at this time should be directed to city hall: Uvalde City Council is at: cityhall@xxxxxxxxxxxx Might not hurt to cc the newspaper, the Uvalde Leader-News at mgarcia@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx So there is one more day to get the message through to them. Last I heard the proponents (diskheads) were arguing frisbees flying through the air were no more disturbing to birds than the nature studiers are. At least they have someone whom knows and cares about birds more than their personal interests on the matter. Thanking you in advance for your kind consideration.
