On Saturday my wife, neighbors and I took our boat into Offhats Bayou. I was hoping for Pacific Loons and Eared Grebes. I struck out on those two species, but saw three ducts in the distance with white on the head. Thinking Buffleheads I checked them out with binoculars and saw the spot in front of the eye. They were a bit distant but don't think they could be anything but Common Goldeneye. Will head back this weekend with our camera and try to get some photos.
