Today I took visiting birders Minda and Harle Bernstein around the Coastal
Bend. We began on some county roads in Jim Wells county and ended in Port
Aransas. We ended up with 118 species. Highlights included Mountain Plovers,
Aplomado Falcon, American Bittern, Least Bittern, Black-Throated Sparrow,
Black-Chinned Hummingbird, Field Sparrow, Burrowing Owls, Barn Owl, Sprague's
