Drove down today to look for the Northern Jacana at the Choke Canyon SP
Calliham Unit, and had no trouble locating it at the same spot on 75
acre lake. It moved around a bit, sometimes better viewed from the
benches on the shore other times fairly close to the end of the jetty.
Was there from just before noon to about 1:00, and the bird was visible
the whole time. Plenty of other waterfowl around as well, including
Eared Grebe and Cinnamon Teal.
