Sorry for the previously garbled message.....here it is again.

Being the competitive person that I am,  I have been very frustrated with
delayed posting of standings (I want my 15 minutes of fame), but I still think
this was a very good idea. Dell and I have had more fun doing the county
listing and have gone places we never would have gone if not for this challenge
and we have met some really great people that have helped us find 100 species
in several counties.  In fact, we are taking off work to go to Grimes County
this Friday. We have less than 20 birds to get to 100 which will make 100
counties with 100 species for me (wooooo hooooo!!!!).  Why else would we go to
Grimes County in August in Texas for birding!!! (Sorry Darrell Vollert, but
also thank you for helping us find the other 80 species in Grimes county 4
years ago!).

So.....for the unofficial record.....DD Currie is at 99 and Dell Little is at
97 counties in Texas with 100 species.....hopefully soon to add one more.

All,

If TOS is not responsible for TXCC, then the TXCC website is incredibly
misleading. In the description of the challenge it states that the challenge is
sponsored by TOS.

Many Texas birders have put quite a bit of time, effort and money into the
century club. I have always been under the impression that TOS has been
associated with TXCC. If that is not the case I would expect a few people to be
a little... upset.  If TOS does not officially sponsor TXCC then that needs to
be changed on both websites and officially addressed by TOS.
