Went to Laguna Gloria this morning (West 35th Street in Austin) for the morning movement. It's on the lake and it seems like all the doves from the East side fly over during the first couple hours of daylight. Fairly active, with highlights being: Male Common Yellowthroat (continuing) Male Swamp Sparrow (continuing) Song Sparrow (continuing) Male Myrtle's (continuing) Sharp-shinned Hawk (nesting, but secretive) Northern Flicker (continuing) Belted Kingfishers (at least two, continuing) A Swallow (will have to look at photos, flying swiftly near water's surface and had white underside) Wilson's Warbler (as concluded by presence of black cap, newly identified) Photos to be posted at flickr.com/gordonbird later today.
