[texbirds] Camp Mabry -- Sunday 24th

Just a quick visit to Camp Mabry around noon. Overall quiet near the upper
pond, but the lower (larger) pond was much better (especially given the
time of day). As I approached, I flushed a few birds (just walking up),
including two Double-crested Cormorants and Wood Ducks. Two Great Egrets
were hunting, and six Lesser Scaups diving quite frequently.

As February is ending, I see gaps on my patch list from winter: Raven,
Nuthatch, Creeper, House and Winter Wrens, Merlin, Peregrine, Sandhills,
and many Sparrows (not Field, Chipping, Song, Lincoln's, Swamp).
Also, if you would like to join me this coming Thursday (the 28th) at
Laguna Gloria, or any Sunday morning (at Laguna, Mabry, Bull Creek, or
others), please shoot me a message. I would always appreciate the company.
