Well it will take a few more years of dat IMHO to prove this out but it is interesting. We know from the past that some birds like RB Nuthatches can simply just skip Texas as flyovers and be dirt common in Mexico....It is a very odd year tho, at least for me...An irruptive year for some species and a bust for others....Has anyone found a Purple Finch in the state yet this winter, Sorry, I can access Ebird data. ********************************************************************** Brush Freeman 503-551-5150 Cell http://texasnaturenotes.blogspot.com/ Finca Alacranes., Utley,Texas On Tue, Dec 24, 2013 at 10:44 PM, Graham Floyd <spcgraham.floyd@xxxxxxxxx>wrote: > Brush, a quick glance and this does not seem to be just a Texas problem. > > Clicking on any link and then toggling left/right will quickly show you > the difference: > > Brown Creepers in Texas, December > 2012<https://picasaweb.google.com/104161988535591177190/ScreenCaptures#5961183992359698050> > > Brown Creepers in Texas, December > 2013<https://picasaweb.google.com/104161988535591177190/ScreenCaptures#5961184041019380514> > > Brown Creepers in SE United States, December > 2012<https://picasaweb.google.com/104161988535591177190/ScreenCaptures#5961184110525371602> > > Brown Creepers in SE United States, December > 2013<https://picasaweb.google.com/104161988535591177190/ScreenCaptures#5961184168999796658> > > There are still days left to add data, but a significant decline appears > to have happened. > > Graham Floyd, San Antonio, TX > > Edit your Freelists account settings for TEXBIRDS at //www.freelists.org/list/texbirds Reposting of traffic from TEXBIRDS is prohibited without seeking permission from the List Owner
