I was out again today and checked on the area where I saw an adult broad-winged hawk on Tuesday and found a young of the year bird out enjoying the sunshine in the top of a dead tree a little before noon. It picked a great spot with no way to stop in traffic unless in someone's driveway. The red-tailed hawk kids have learned to keep out of the sun. -- Joseph C.
