Sunday, Nov. 25 Russ Pitman Park, Bellaire, the broad billed hummingbird with obvious patches of blue on his throat, was content in his corner of shrimp plants (near west fence line, by the open yard area to the right of the dove cage). Many birders there so I am surprised not to see postings on Texbirds. Another section of shrimp plants closer to the center of the Park was frequently visited by a male calliope. Easy pickings! I missed on the towhee and golden crowned kinglets but the sign up board has them listed for today.
