Finally got to see the Black-tailed Godwit on third trip down. And in late
afternoon, in excellent light, it had the good grace to move quite near,
affording several us very good looks at this lovely bird.
When I drove through the Auto Loop at the refuge I estimated more than 100 Wood
Storks on Gator Pond.
