Dear Texbirders, We had a great day today at Blucher Park! There were 38 visitors with the long-distance award going to a lady from Evergreen, Colorado. The number of birds was way down from Thursday, but the diversity was probably as great, if not greater. There were 21 species of warblers seen, as well as all four expected spotted thrushes. The bird of the day was the MacGillivray's Warbler which has been around since Wednesday, at least. Also new for Blucher Park was a Solitary Sandpiper in the creek. The total number of species reported was 70. Thanks to Kristi Thulin for hosting and Larry Johnson for leading. The walks will conclude tomorrow, so if you are in the Corpus area, join us at 7:30 or whenever you can make it.
