Hello Birders,
Had a great time driving over from Leander to outside Lake Jackson yesterday to
see the BT Godwit. The afternoon viewing was not good with the sun coming in
behind the bird. Today was much better with better photos. It was a real
treat. Law Enforcement arrived to remind people to stay off the road, to park
on one side of the road -West. While CR 227 is a small county road, it is the
route to
chemical plants in Freeport where many people work so there is a lot of traffic
and people don't always understand what we are doing on the road.
Amazing…three days ago I knew nothing about any
Black-tailed Godwit. One never knows what birding may bring about…always fun!
