Howdy Texbirders, Took a 4 hour walk around the park this morning picking up 70+ species of birds. Highlights were an American Bittern, lots of Warbling Vireos, Wilson's and Yellow Warblers,Broad-winged Hawks, Groove-billed Anis are still around, Green and Ringed Kingfishers and of course our Common Pauraques were a life bird for a couple that were visiting from North Texas. Ruby-throats are winding down but the Buff-bellies seem to be everywhere. Tropical Kingbirds have returned to Estero in mass and are singing their hearts out. Anyway, lots of things showing up, so if you ain't here, you gonna miss them. Our birdwalks start at 8:30 AM, both Saturday and Sunday mornings. Arrive at 8 and we will call out birds from the deck before our walk. Hope to see ya, then. Bird for your health, Forget your worries, You'll be happier.
