[texbirds] Birding at Alcoa Lake in Milam County

Jane and others,
Unless it has been closed in the last year or so, birding is permitted.
But you should call Alcoa Security 512-446-8335 and let them know you
are there.
You can also drive in to the visitor's office and call security from
there if you forget the phone number. But finding the office is not easy
in the middle of the plant.
The security officers are easy to get along with and never denied me access.
This is a great place to bird in Milam County.
