Dear Texbirders,
Once again this year the Audubon Outdoor Club of Corpus Christi is hosting bird
walks at Blucher Park near downtown Corpus. The walks will be held each
Saturday and Sunday in April beginning at 7:30 and running until about 10:30.
The walks are pretty informal, so if you can't drag yourself out of bed in time
to make the 7:30 start, just come when you can and join the group. There will
be someone near the park entrance on Carrizo Street to tell you where to find
the group.
For those of you not familiar with Blucher, it is a great little (3.5 acre)
migrant trap with lots of native plants and great habitat. It is one of the
favorite spots of the local birders during spring migration. If you need
directions, just plug "Blucher Park, Corpus Christi, TX" into Google Maps. The
walks start on the Carrizo Street side of the park.
If you are going to be in town in April, come on down. We've already had some
good migrants and it's not even April yet.
